Join us for a vibrant and creative workshop where you'll learn the art of hooking a zinnia!  In this class, we will explore different shading techniques, using dip-dyed and swatches, focusing on creating a stunning zinnia image.

What you'll learn:

-Materials and Tools:  An overview of the essential materials needed for this subject, including different types of materials and hooks.

-Hooking Techniques:  Hands-on instruction of this hooking process, including how to create texture and depth in shading a zinnia.

-Color Theory:  Tips on selecting the perfect color palette to bring your zinnia to life, ensuring it stands out beautifully.

Who Should Attend:

This class is perfect for beginners and experienced rug hookers alike!  Whether you're looking to try something new or enhance your existing skills, you'll leave with a good start with the zinnia piece and the confidence to tackle future projects.

Materials Provided:

All necessary materials will be provided, including pattern and large selection of hand-dyed wool to choose from.  Feel free to bring any personal supplies you'd like to incorporate as well as hook, frame and cutter.  Kit will not be pre-cut, so that you can work with the cut you prefer.  Bring your preferred cutting tool!

Note:  Finished size of project is 12" x 12".

Pam Bartlett is the owner of The Woolen Pear & Red Horse Rugs, www.redhorserugs.com, a certified rug hooking teacher with the Pearl K. McGown Rug Hooking Guild, ATHA.  She teaches at workshops, guilds and rug schools in the US and Canada.  Pam is a Master Artist with the NH State Council on the Arts, Traditional Arts Program and a 5-time recipient of the Master Artist/Apprenticeship Grant.
